FAQ: Collective Bargaining

As stated by the WEA:  "American workers, including public school employees, have a constitutional right to bargain collectively with their employers and to otherwise advocate for their collective interests."  I support all our local unions, including the BEA/WEA.   I oppose efforts to restrict collective bargaining.  A strong teachers union with good compensation for local teachers will allow our school district to compete for the best teachers available.  Ultimately, what is good for the teachers is good for the students.
